Once you connect your Slack workspace to your Collabwriting account, you'll be able to directly mention your Slack teammates within the Collabwriting mention popup.

This means that instead of them having to check the notifications in Collabwriting or search thorugh their email to find the shared snippet, they'll get a direct message on your team's Slack.

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Type "@" inside of the comment field

  2. Wait for the list of potential mentions to appear

  3. Scroll up to find the "Slack Members" section

  4. Choose the Slack teammate you want to mention from the list

Only mention

While there were originally 3 roles you could assign to a collaborator, with the latest updates we have added a new option.

Only mention will allow you to mention people from your Slack workspace without sharing the entire Topic with them. They will receive a notification in their Slack inbox with a snippet of content, any attached comment you made, and an option to locate it.
