Ready to share your work? You can easily share your Clusters,Topics and Snippets with people inside and outside your workspace. Let's explore the different sharing options.
Permission levels
For every collaborator you share your work with, there is a different levels of access you can give them. This gives you precise control over your work.
Owner - Has full access
Editor - Can edit and comment the content
Commenter - Can only view and comment the content
Viewer - Can only view the content
Note: Team workspace members has default EDITOR role on each Cluste/Topic inside of it, unless owner of the Cluster set it to be Restricted. Check this arcitle!
General Access
To manage General Access of your Topics, simply open "Share preferences" panel of a Topic. Here, you can choose persmission access of your Topic:
Restricted - Only you and the people you directly invite via email
Anyone with the link - Anyone who gets the sharable link can access the Topic
Editor
Commenter
Viewer
Note: Currently, Clusters can only be shared by email. You cannot generate a shareable link for your Clusters.
User-based permissions
Users can be assigned specific roles when sharing Collabwriting links, that can differ from the already set general link permissions.
Note: If you set the General Access level to "Editor," any new user added, even with "Viewer" permissions, will have "Editor" access.
Accessing shared topics
When someone shares a certain topic with you, they will appear in the “Shared with me” section in both the extension and the Dashboard.
If the link-sharing settings change (or your access is revoked by the owner of the topic), you'll no longer have the option to access any of the data.
Leaving shared Topic
If you want to leave Topic shared with you, all you need to do is to click "3 dots" button on that Topic and choose option Leave.
