Making notes and highlighting key parts of your PDFs is super easy and intuitive even on mobile.

Here are the quick steps:

Open Collabwriting on your phone

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: You can add Collabwriting to your home screen and use it like a regular app - hereโ€™s how.

Go to Reader

  • In the left sidebar, tap on Reader

  • This is where all your uploaded PDFs appear.

Open PDF

Choose one of these options:

  • Upload your own PDF from your device, or

  • Paste a link to a public PDF.

Once opened, your PDF will appear in your Reader, ready for highlighting, comments, and collaboration.

Create snippets on PDF

  • Highlight any text on a webpage.

  • A shortcut button (small pop-up) will appear next to your selection.

  • Click "Save Highlight" button to open a quick-save window.

If the native phone menu (Copy/Look Up/Share) covers the popup button, tap once on the highlighted area to bring the Collabwriting button to the front.

From there, you can:

  • Choose a Topic and a Cluster where you want to save the snippet

  • Add a comment, tag, or mention someone

  • Confirm and save, all in a few clicks
